Can anyone tell me how to do this on a Leon FR ? I'm sure it just pulls off but from which edge should I pull ? I've tried searching and failed badly and if it breaks its £50 for a new one.

cheers.

Its easy, adjust the mirror so its pointing skywards as far as it'll go, then gently using something fairly wide (i.e. not a screwdriver) just gently lever it from underneath away from the housing. I used a wooden spatula, just dont use anything thin or it'll just crack. Its only held in by spring loaded clips....

my website www.leoncupra.co.uk kinda shows how to remove them.

£50 is a rip off - should be able to get the tinted blue version for about £25 ish brand new.

They have 2 rather large clips on which hold the mirror to a central circular base, which is motorised to move the mirror glass.

Just be gentle, and prise it away from the edges, bit by bit. Don't yank, or it'll crack.

yeh, see above info really - I actually angled mine as far inwards as it went rather than skywards, but should do the same thing :)

keep an eye on ebay ;)

Just check to make sure you get the right ones - depends if you have teardrop shaped mirrors or not...
