any running issues other than the eml? unplugging the maf would disturb it if you were forceful...they are sensitive things.

knacked maf would cause fuelling issues... unplug it and drive a short whil and see if it feels better.

id be changing the filter to a proven type i.e jetex.

Ah right well y'see ive re-fitted the stock airbox now, and the car runs sweet as.

The cars totally stock now, it was running a split-r in 50:50 mode with the filter, thats when i had the overfueling problems.

I then put the dv to fully recirc, n before i had any overfueling problems i blew a coil pack :|

So what do you suggest?

The coilpack is most probably unrelated. As James suggests, a 007p is a tried and tested dumpvalve that most 1.8t drivers opt for - they are a reliable solution to the crappy oem dumpvalve. For noise I'd suggest a Jetex or Green Cotton cone filter with a bracket to support it, preferable mounted on rubber to avoid vibrations being transmitted to the maf. If this doesn't solve your issue, try a new maf. HTH

So the short of it is, ramair are no good?
And hows a split r diff to a 007p if you run it in full recirc anyway?

Well spoke to forge directly & they said regardless of whether its run full re-circ, 50:50 or full atmospheric, its 16 clicks clkwise for a std car (no map)

I ran the car with the DV on 50:50 for 2 weeks, with no airfilter, just the stock airbox, and the car was fine, no problems what so ever!

UPDATE!

Back again, so ive been running my LC totally standard for the past week. No problems what so ever!

Now do you think i should put a different brand of filter on, instead on a ramair?

Should i test the car for a week with just the filter and no dv?

Filter and OEM DV before you spend money on another filter imo.
