ibiza mark4 fr tdi. aa on their way.electrics ok,engine won't start.nothing. happened at petrol station. all dash lights come on, then turn to start it and nothing. 33k on clock.ideas?

If it just clicks once I would say starter motor, failing to engage. Rock the car a bit and try again.

^^^^^agree, broken wire to starter motor. this wire is quite often too short from the factory and doesn't cope well with the engine moving on it's mounts.

thanks to everyone but ten points to mork, wire had sheared off, on to tight from factory, the ibiza lives again!
