Help! Anyone with Modded Airbox, Green panel filter & Forge 007

Hi, anyone with the above mods could you tell me what your car sounds like now?

I fitted the above mods and to be honest it sounded no different at all, after about a week and a half the car has developed a very loud sucking sound on acceleration and the DV sounds more like a blow off valve than the usual subtle sound.

Do i have boost/vac leek or is it supposed to sound like this?

I'm a new Ibiza owner so any help would be appreciated

P.S The cars has been REVO'd.

Havnt you just answered your own question??

doesnt sound like you have a boost leak, sounds like you have the mods on you mentioned above, you dont get a flutter/chatter sound do you?

No flutter/chatter. If it was the mods, would it not have sounded like that straight away rather than after a week of them being on there?

no flutter - dump valve is fine

it should have sounded like that as soon as you done the mods yes, but what your explaining is the sound it should make, dont know why it took so long to kick in?????????? i know the ecu learns from the engine, maybe yours is just a bit slow at it? only messin, not too sure mate, doesnt sound like a boost leak tho

Nope the airfilter will need time to run in, so will become louder over a time.

Sounds about right to me.

I did drive down to edition 38 on sunday, which is a 300 mile round trip, i noticed the sound after that, could the long drive have 'bedded' the mods in?

I'm going to the RR day at Awesome on Sat, by the looks of your signature so are you, would you mind having a quick listen before i get on the rollers just to make sure things are ok?

yeah i can no worries matey, to be honest im only going as a spectator now, my car is poorly so until its better it aint going on no rolling road

Sounds normal to me tho.

It usually boosts around 3/3.5k i think?

I don't have a boost gauge

i think he meant what psi/bar are you running , if you have no gauge tho you wont know

Mine did change note slightly. Sounds like its sucking more and dv sounds a tad louder. Im at awsome on sat and can take a listen but from what you said it should be ok.

Hi, i think you were all right, i put the stock filter and intake back on and it went back to being quiet again. I think it might have been a bit louder than it should have been because the 100mm intake pipe wasn't flush to the airbox. I'm running with the standard intake pipe for now with the green filter and it sounds slightly louder than normal but not excessive like before.

ive done this on my mk4 20vt and its not notacable right away i find i can only hear it at low rpm and high boost like in 5th going 40mph but sounds ok to me!
