Hears a pic of the neuspeed heatshield. Not worth the money as its only a mount really. Get the jabba one. Someone on here told b=me they got one for £35!

Had my TIG welder stolen many moons ago so havent been able to do any of this outsode of work and even then its tricky.

If you got some amterial we could hire a TIG welder for the day and knock some custom ones out for everyone. Job done! Just need to mock up a card/wood one on alexs for this filter

If someone could make a template of the Jabbasport one, by outlining the edges on some card, and maybe scan it in, then someone could print them out, and get the metal made up to that.

I'm going to be having a go at mocking one up, and hopefully be getting some heatproof covering, to keep the heat out.

But thats something im working on slowly!

I use the jabbasport induction kit and it sounds mint, the heatsheild works really well too,can feel the difference with it on, even in the summer, havnt modified it, i am going to get a vent though in my wing/bonnet in the future

Is it just a cone that wraps around the body?
If you want to try something then get some thin wood such as ply (as in my picture with the huge green filter, mod that till it fits then cover it in some heat wrap (just staple or glue it on). It will be far better than S/S (at keeping the heat out) but it won’t look as good. But if it works well you will have something you can use until you can get a fabricated version.

You want to do it along the lines of the jabbasport one as that cuts the heat out of that area rather than deflecting the heat from around the filter

CAI = Cold Air Induction

Seen the sheilds on ebay, may look bling but is practically useless in sheilding heat away

Scotty_b, you're a man after my own heart :bow:

Making a heatsheild is easy, get some cardboard and sticky tape and make a mock up of what you want (you watched blue peter did'nt you?:) )

Then get a Metal fabricator you know to make another one out of Alluminium using your cardboard one as a template.
