Heater/Fan issues- ONLY HEAT???

I'm having a problem with my girlfriend's Ibiza. First, her climate control was only working on the front windscreen and in the cabin, but not on the feet. I pulled out the module that holds all the dials and everything seemed in place.

I put it back together, and now the air is only blowing on the windscreen no matter where I turn the dial, and now the heat is always on!!! I've tried many searches on the forums and the only issues that most people are having is the fan only working on 4. My fan is working completely fine on 1 to 4. So I don't think it would be the heater matrix that's the problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem.

I saw a little plastic part was broken inside the module. The part was holding exact tension of the wire, so I had to break my fingers for half an hour to set wires back to right tension.

It's not easy, but it's also doable.

It's a 1996. I'm not sure about the model. It's a 1.4L motor.

Also, would it be easier if I removed the center console? And are there any threads that have instructions on how to remove it?

sounds like you have left the heater cable unclipped or it's broken out of it's clip
