I found the main beams on my
Ibiza were too low when I bought it.
Intended as a temporary measure, I drove up to a large sheet of cardboard in my garage and marked where the top of the beam shone, then moved the adjuster on the dash to its lowest setting, then used the vertical adjustment screw on each headlight to raise the beam to the marked point, the moved the adjuster on the dash to the normal position again. This had the effect of raising the headlight beams for normal driving but would enable me to use the dash adjuster to lower the beams to their previous setting if I got flashed by oncoming vehicles at night.
Anyway, shortly after my bit of DIY, it was convenient to take it back to my dealer and I asked them to check the headlight alignment; they stuck it in front of their alignment checker and said everything was fine, no further adjustment needed!
