Head Unit Removal

While seeing the ICE upgrade sticky thread and a older thread (2005ish) on this forum I still a bit confused as to remove the OE radio. In that i cant quite see where the removal keys insert and there also seems to be confusion over the exact removal keys needed. Local Car Audio centre reckons I need "Vertical slot VW/Audi release keys" but wont either sell them me or whip the unit out for me, whereas some other posts imply that a Kenwood set will do the trick.

Facia for sale on ebay claims to come with removal keys but about 20 quid more than another example that looks exactly the same but without the keys.

When I do get this sorted will photo all of it and post.

I have a good head unit thats only about 6 months old from my old car with MP3 and blue tooth etc (mine is a 2004 Altea so no MP3).

Any help appreciated.

Keys you can get for Halifords or just cut a credit card into strips as less likely to mark. Would also have some old cards to help lever it out with.

If you want some keys let me know your address and l will send you some modified Clarion keys as shown in the picture. And my advice would be to buy the fascia trim from a Seat dealer, guaranteed to fit and costs less than £10
