dont joke mate - i might be able to source some more, depending on how this goes. ;)
We shall see. All I know is the newer leons etc dont have doorpins OR blank caps so its only available on the earlier cupras and R's....
wish me luck :)

just a thought if adding an alarm led

red flashing with alarm on - fine and pretty much standard nowadays on most cars

a trendy blue one sat there or flashing - mmmm look at that - thats cool - i wonder what good stuff is in that car ??

tried em in blue for 24hrs and went back to red to save it being a scum magnet

Had my locking pin blank out at w/e to change LED (now clear hyper red) the plug underneath looks same as 210 ones just filled at top, so should just slip into door and IIRC once you unscrew black plastic top the metal pin is a fair bit shorter so may just sit under plug?

yeh, when i changed my door pins to alloy ones a while back i noticed that pete, but not sure its a good idea - dont want the arm fouling up on anything.
Had my doorcard off at the w/e to sort my tweeter and had a quick look - seems like the arm goes into the door via a rubber grommit - not sure where it attaches so not sure how to remove it completely.
Will have another look when the blanks arrive and i attempt to fit them

oh and flapper, totally agree with you there - never thought of that before. Going to leave my LED red and as per normal. Thanks for the tip!

did u read flappers post above? Wouldnt change colour if i were you - draws attention to the car from scum - makes them think theres something worth nicking in the car.

Should be dead easy to do tho if u want to change it - remove the cap - take the led out. some peoples have fallen out in the past so i can only assume that its either clipped in, or possibly glued in - in which case get a glue gun and stick the new one in too. Probably need a soldering iron to attach the LED to the wires.
Job done.

Easy its a 3mm Led thats glued in, they seem to use some sorta hot glue and in most cases wil pull/push out, then cut off old one solder on new! I used hyper red new one MUCH brighter and water clear package other than that same as old so no bling just better imho!

Hi Pabs, did you manage to get your hands on any more of the blanking plugs?

Your car looks fantastic I must say....

regarding your leather seats....I aquired a set the other day, and was wondering if you can remember which of the 3 plugs under the seats would wire to the fuse box to get the power to the seats for movement..not really bothered with the heated part of the seats.....

Many thanks in advance for you reply

Matt

Hi matt,

No - never did find any blanking plugs - don't seem to have a seperate part number, and only come with the complete doorcard I think. Just changed to ali pins instead.

No idea about the plugs for the seats I'm afraid - and mine aren't heated either. All of my leather was factory fitted when the car was purchased (inc. front arm rest)
