Has anyone who had doorpins on their Leon (be it an import like mine, or earlier model) actually managed to remove them successfully?

Basically I have the door pins, and want rid. I figure it would be a cheap but smart mod to do. At the same time, I can change the colour of the LED in the drivers door.

Now, after looking on ETKA, I can only find this part:

1M0 867 109 - guide for knob
1M0 867 109A - Collar passenger side

Add 01C for Satin Black.

Now, both of these have the hole in - ie for the doorpin. I cannot find a part number for ones without the hole.

Does anyone have this info? Would be great if its available - as I can only think the blanking caps are pennies from a dealer.

Cheers

ok just for anyone that wants to know or searches in the future - u cannot buy the blanking plugs seperately. They come as part of the door cards.

You can buy the ones with the holes in, just not the ones without

Change them for Alloy ones, looks nice imho and you can see car is locked (yep I'm dumb)!

already done that matey - i think without doorpins is much better IMO. Looks more, i dunno, finished i suppose.

Might have to see if i can find some at breakers, but its just a bit too much hassle for me at the moment.

Know what ya mean, lack off pins is kinda clean lookin? wonder if the plugs with led that VW use will fit, if so see Foxy on VWforum and he'll sort you any colour you like or Fill and spray Helfrauds satin black works well on an LCR interior, used on my sunglass holder and W8 light, reckon with a bit of time you could get them lovely lookin and its dark and cold out there can do this mod inside with a beer!

i was just thinking of getting some plastic and cutting it roughly to size, then using some body filler filling it out and sanding it down, then painting. just seems a lot of effort.

for those of you interested I have 4 blanking plugs on their way to me in the very near future - so i shall see how tricky it is to remove the doorpins!
Got em at a relatively decent price, so lets just hope it all goes well!
