if you mean blackish oil, its just the oil burning because of the high temps....1.8T engines do suffer from sludge build up but regular oil changes will keep on top of it....I've wanted to use engine flush for a while but havent got the bottle incase it causes more bad than good.
If your problem is the above ^^ then its most likely expensive
yeah id think you have headgasket issues, take it to a garage and get it looked at..you will get a bit of white stuff in the mornings because of condensation, get some pics up
get it checked out by all means, but I had this on my old 1.4. It's down to the car only being used for short journeys so it's the way the oil heats and cools. don't think induction kits help as mine got worse when fitted.
