Dan can you quote me the part number of the cluster you bought?

Also, is there any reason that I couldn't use a 2.0 TFSI FR cluster in my Sport?

1P0920941X

Not sure of what the results would be if you fitted a FR one.

I've done the Retrofit today.

Thanks very much to DanGB and VRStu for their help and making it possible.

One thing. It took me nearly an HOUR to get the roof light unit out and knocked my rear view mirror out in the process :(

After the fact I found this article that shows you how to do it in seconds

All I've got to do now is work out how to put the rear view mirror back:cartman:

Thanks to Bill (Badger 5) I've got it coded in but .... she insists in speaking to me in German. Now that's sort of okay because I speak German too but she doesn't understand my thick Yorkshire accented German.

She is okay with my 0-6 but 7 is a no-no!

We checked the softcoding and it is DEFINATELY set to 422.

Any ideas?

Also mute = Voice Control is the only button working - the OK button on the right hand stalk doesn't pick up calls.

One further piece of (inane) info ....

My company SPV M3100 mobile PDA phone identifies the kit as "UHV". However, my wife's personal mobile, an SPV c500 runing WM6 standard, picked up the name "Skoda_UHV" .... one of the adaptions Stu?

ahh is this a newer bluetooth module?

Mine's still obstinately stuck in German Voice Control and won't pick-up using any of the car controls.

When I collect my (wife's!) new Altea XL I intend to read out its settings and figure out how it differs from what I've got.

Don't understand that at all Darrell. Have you tried removing the power for a few mins?

Worth a bash.

[Edit] Disconnected the under-seat box for a minute or so and then reconnected. No joy. Still german.

Have disconnected again and will try later / tomorrow morning.

Looking in my guide, ive set it to 422, rather than 522 in stu's guide. That might be the skoda/seat change.

You dont have access to vag-com do you?

It is currently set to 422 and announces itself as Skoda_UHV. We tried to set it to '522' but VAG-COM wouldn't do it.

I should have access to someone with VAG-COM again at the weekend.
