GTi drive shafts!

hello all! ive done a search and not really found anything

im in need of both drive shafts for a mk2 ibiza 16v gti, anyone know what other shafts are the same?

I need them asap!

They are 100mm or could be 120mm lol..... I'm 95% sure they 100mm, flapper back me up here?

from memory it was 100mm diameter on the inner CV but sadly don't ask me on length or what golf ones fit as i only broke my inner one and gearbox casing

as long as it's 2.0 the 8v+16v shafts are the same as far as i rememeber and one one odd rare toledo one but i'll rummage and check for ya

if I stick to the Ibiza gti 8v or 16v ones they will fit then?

for a whole shaft as long as it's for the 2.0L ye

there is a few Caddy/Corrado/Scirrocco/Polo variants that have the same part number fitted but most are so odd and rare it's scary

will be easier to stick to Ibiza/Cordoba for easy street

So get them as a pair from either the 8v or 16v? There's a few 8v's being broken on eBay at the mo so will send some messages!

just be sure they are 2litre that's all and yes the inner's are 100mm not 90mm


silly Q ? what gearbox you using in this project ?

It's a golf mk2 gear box to keep it cable change from what I know, got a weighted shift rod to. Does that make a difference? (I'm learning as I go along!) Got 16v hubs and discs on it.

knowing what you are up to i had to wonder what box used and what size inner drive plates you had to match with the 100mm shafts ?

oh right ok, just ordered some from ebay from a 16v ibiza which is perfect!
