Yeah that's what we're saying also pal, a 2008 Cupra would have them too.

FR is like 'Sport' trim in an Audi. It's got the sporty looks, but not the full S Line treatment.

Plus the convenience pack was like 250 so pretty much most of them will have it anyway. There's plenty on the market so shop about and you should find a good one easily enough.

if you pay the same price a Leon will come with more gadgets than a GTD. But a Mk6 Golf isn't the same MQB platform as the 2014 Leon. The Leon will have multi-link rear suspension, and handles a treat - not sure about the GTD. But the VW WILL feel more premium inside, albeit with less gizmos.
And the VW will retain more value than the Leon, but the longer you keep it the less difference that makes.
Personally I wouldn't buy a Golf GTD when I could get a Leon FR.
Golf GTi? No equivalent in the Leon:-(

I'd definitely take a GTD over a Leon FR. Interior is much nicer, which is where your time is spent in a car. If the cupra I had wasn't so much cheaper than a golf R, I'd have taken a golf R. The LED rear lights on the GTD just look the part, I really like them. Also the option for an 8 inch nav and the dynaudio is a lot better than SEAT sound. Adaptive cruise control is also a standard option on a GTD, I think you'll struggle to find an FR without it.

I owned the 150fr and currently have the GTD. The golf in my opinion has a slightly better quality feel. From the point of view of LED lights i liked the leons just as much so much so that when i left work at night i put them on and stood behind looking at them...am i perverse?

I can do my own lights and wipers. I don't need to pay extra money for being lazy.

If your owning a Scooby then you'll be used to it. ;) Do miss my 03 STi and that was a driver focused car. :)
But now owning a 184FR with DSG and most of the toys I don't think I could go back.
Even the Subaru Impreza diesels (which I foolishly owned) that didn't have much in terms of gizmos.

I tried the current Sti before I got the Leon. Had no satnav or dab radio. Still a good drivers car but road tax, economy, depreciation and lack of kit. And getting back in the P1 that felt sooo light and agile.
