Well guys she didn't blow up.
Dave walker did a sterling job on the rollers. I took it up there (bloody long way) to Emerald and I fitted the 630cc injectors.
Dave mapped the car perfectly - although the cold air feed to the airfilter kept on crushing flat as the car came onto boost - it took us a bit of time to sus why the turbo was making boost and then it dropped to Zero !!
We disconnected the cold air feed and hey presto - perfect, loads of boost etc.
Anyway - we kept the power to sensible levels for the Elise and she made :-
320 BHP and
280 ft / lb torque...............not back considering she only weighs 800kg.
I'll post the power curves tomorrow.
The drive home was interesting - must have got some air in the clutch hydraulic system and was stuck in 6th gear for 200 mles.
The only time I gave it some beans................I sh*t myself and it was only at 0.7bar of boost
(1.5Bar peak !!) Roll on the dry weather.
If anyone has seen big turbos on the Rolling road before they know it's scary stuff - I told Dave the last time I was that nervous ........my missus was giving Birth !!
I've been glad to chat to you Cupra lot............thanks for you encouragement !!
