Grom Ipod Kit Ringing Noise

Hi everyone!

I've just bought a grom ipod kit for my mk 4 Ibiza. Installed it pretty easily, and it plays tracks through the ipod exactly as described.

Just one problem...

When I turn off the ignition theres this ringing sound coming from the grom kit. Its only there when the ignition is off though, and not when I turn it on. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you resolve it? I've emailed the supplier, but have yet to recieve a reply.

I suppose I could live with it, as it will only be ringing when I've not got the ignition on, i.e when I'm just getting or out of the car, but still, I know its there and thats enough to annoy me.

so its when ignition is primed?through all speakers?or 1?
is ipod connected at this point?does it do it if you d/c or connect the ipod whilst primed?

No, the ringing noise doesn't come through the cars speakers, it is literally coming from the Grom Interface itself... It goes away when the ignition is primed and is only there when the ignition isn't primed. It doesn't make any difference whether or not the iPod is or isn't connected.

Personally, I think it may be a fault with the unit itself...
