Markyboyt - (Did you have a feel around the wheel on full lock and check for any loose trims or anything?
Another thing you could do is jack the front up and compare the 2 wheels, try and pin point the noise.
Your discs are quite worn but your pads are good and personally i'd be waiting til the pads had worn out as the discs aren't terminal.
They may well be your noise but they also might not.
Does it make any difference if you lightly apply the brake when the noise is happening? )

Spoke to my mechanic yesterday and he agrees with you, that the disks and pads don't need changing yet, so going to wait until the MOT in 2 weeks time and he is going to give it a full work over and find out just what the noise is. He mentioned a few things like rust spots etc, but he is going to look for everything and give it a clean bill of health. cheers for you comments.
