In the attic!
Ok, after yesterdays shenanigans i dropped the car off at CCD this morning and headed home on the train (only 20mins away)

Got a call at 1600 to say it was done, was there in a flash. The old pump was fooked, the blades had come away!! Anyway, i now have a metal bladed pump, new cambelt, full service with petrol and oil filters replaced and new plugs [B)]

Daz then connected up the laptop and off we went on another run. And DAMN!!! The car is soo quick! We headed for the A** and low and behold the old skool TR7 in front of me gives it some, i very quickly dispatched of him, should have seen his face!

We then got a bit of open road and whoosh a Merc SL55 AMG passes me on the inside! Well i wasn't having any of that so i floored it! All i can say is fook! I never really though the remap would make the car THIS quick! I reached 135 and was on his tail when he did a bit of a naughty undertaking maneuver so i followed, not sure if he gave it the full beans but i was all over him like a dirty *****

So we turned back and tried a high speed run, needle reached 156 before i had to brake, it got there so easily! I didn't even notice any tail-off in the power either! And this is without the Forge DV or the Green panel filter!!

I can honestly say i love this car so much more now, if anyone needs a map then i HIGHLY recommend Custom-Code it really is the dogs :worship:

Big thanks to Daz @ Custom Car Developments, you are a hero for doing this on a Saturday for me

Now! Wheres that bloody FRS :drive1:

Surrey darling...
Sounds like you're a happy man mate! Will have to get it on the rolling road and see what you've got now!

You say you hit 156... I thought they were electronicaly limited to 150 - mine certainly is (tested on a private road obviously)

Where are you based btw?

I LOVE my Custom Coded LCR, it really is the first car that i've had that i find myself thinking that i really is fast enough. Found myself on the M40 this evening trying to change up into 7th because i was accelerating so quickly in 6th

I think the CC code really comes into it's own on tight bumpy country roads, as you can feed all the power in so smoothly, and avoid all the torque steer.

Glad you love it as much as me.

He could not have been giving it the full beans, completely different league to a LCR. Re-mapped or not... tho. they ARE limited to 155mph.

Hi ICUJEDI

Its Dav (Not Daz!!! lol) from CCD. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. As i said to you while checking you cars temp and 156 mph The LCR is one car i have been waiting to custom code and take for a proper thrash.

I think it would be advisable to anyone with an LCR to make sure the water pump is changed to a metal impellar!!!! when the cambelt it done. Or if you are going to get a remap. I have custom coded many vehicle but this it the first one i have seen which the water pump has failed at only 40,000 miles.

Looking forward to applying the other mods to your vehicle icujedi. And i am sure your mates are all very suprised (by which i mean GUTTED!!! hee hee hee) with the speed and drivability of your LCR

Regards

Dav Team_ccd

Oops  lol sorry Dav! Will be seeing you again soon for DBM and Forge DV and maybe a few other bits

Think i'm getting the bug again

Wish I had your car then - I can't get anywhere near an SL 55 ... pre or post re-map.
5l supercharged V8 vs. 1.8l turbo 4 -- doesn't add up !
