I only had two main things when I was buying new headunit 1.) it must be able to control an ipod, 2.) it's red :) so I could get a nice match

But yeah, really pleased with the accidental near exact match of redness between headunit and dash etc.

Apart from ordering some front waterproof seat covers (so not damaging seats after surfing etc.), and getting cruise control fitted when ever I'm gonna be back home (probably mid March), that's pretty much me for messing around with my car at the moment :( unless I win the lottery or something [B)]

Yeah sound is amazing. My pioneer had ridiculously loud bass, but that was it, so for dance, drum and bass etc it was perfect, but for everything else it was crap, so was always fiddling about with a million different settings, which was a pain in the arse and dangerous!

Sony one has very good pre-set equalisers, so no more faffing around when driving to get the best sound!

My boot is waterproofed for when I'm surfing or getting muddy etc. not the prettiest, but who's gonna see inside my boot anyway ;)

New plans? I'm excited! I'll keeping an eye on your thread for the big news. lol.

Genuine Seat Mud Flaps :D

Will get them fitted and photos up when they arrive.

I know hard to get excited about mud flaps, but I've been wanting some for a while now!

A photo incase anyone doesn't know what a mud flap looks like ;)

nice vids.

The one with car sounds, how sped up is that?

Cars coming along nicely now mate. You still considering the remap?

Cheers :) It's only double speed, main reason was I had nearly 2 hours of video, and cut it down to my favourite 15 - 20 mins or so, but obviously can only upload 10mins worth to youtube!
But it accidently turned out really well, and makes car sound pretty sporty for a diesel ;)

I know exactly what I'm doing with remap, gonna get it done at P-Torque... just saving up the pennies for it now :) hopefully getting it done around Easter time is the plan, but obviously depends on funds! Can't wait for the extra power though

Nice one, I'll be following that then... Contemplating it for mine... Ours would more or less turn out the same... So you are my test tube baby for now :p

Ha, cheers!

Couple reasons I'm going with P-Torque, because they give rolling road before & after remap which would be interesting to see, and most importantly I had a chat with Will as I was concerned about excess smoke coming out of exhaust after the map (as I really didn't fancy that) and he said that they can guarantee there'll be no more smoke which is good :D

Before the map considering a de-cat too, not a full mufflerectomy as don't fancy that loud tractor sound, but can't afford a full Milltek system or similar. Hopefully that'll free up a few horses :)

I was thinking of a mufflrectomy...

After seeing some vids of others, the sound it makes when you lift off is awesome... a real growl. Mmmm.... [B)]

Not too sure how much longer I'll have the car though... really want an FR+ TDi 150... I think it's a summer of saving for me....

Rather than just Decating. Why not buy a Miltek DP which isnt very expensive that will decat for you anyway and join onto existing system with a reducer. This way you free up more horses and its a good upgrade.

Great videos mate! The scenery round there is stunning!

Remap will be good, mufflerectomy dosnt make it sound like a tractor lol

Mine just purr's lol

Sounds less diesely too me

As said, Miltek downpipe is a worthwhile investment, decat and larger bore, so it gets rid of heat quicker :)

Hope your alright anyway

Yeah, I do like the woosh noise from it, but also heard a few videos that make it sound a bit like a tractor at low revs, but sounds really good high revs!

I'll be keeping hold of my 110 tdi for a while now I think as I graduate uni this year, so will be job hunting, then paying loans & credit card & banks bank over next few years

Will @ P-Torque is a great bloke and his remaps have got a very good reputation on this forum! You will not be dissappointed....

He does seem to get very good feedback here. And he answered my questions really well too :) really good price aswell - £260 I think he said including full diagnostics & rolling road before and after!

I had a look at these Miltek downpipes, but from the ones I was looking at, the 110 tdi version didn't have the decat straight pipe included with it. Only the 130 & 150 did. But I'll have another look to make sure!

Cheers, yeah really am lucky to live so close to this wonderful outdoorsness :D

Do you have a back box? Or just straight pipe all the way through with a tip on the end?

mine is just straight pipe mate all the way through.

Awesome sell the miltek downpipe for "our" engines mate. About £120 iirc..

£152.07 inc vat it is! Seems quite expensive for just a bit of pipe.

So the photo of it below, would this replace the cat? Doesn't look like long enough pipe to, but to be honest not even looked at my leon exhaust system yet!

yeah, its big bore and decat in one :)

Wow. It's gone up in price, but it may be just the VAT increase...

Failing that, you could just get the cat chopped out :D

Think I may look into just getting the cat chopped out for now can't be too much. I'll get some quotes from local exhaust guy when I remember when passing!
