Good machine polisher?

HI All

can anyone recommend a good machine polisher, i know the ones in Halfords are just crap and done a search on Ebay and they keep coming up with Orbital polishers...the £13.99 type and i know those are not too good either

anyone got any recommendations as i am know at a place in my car detailing skills to up the game and polish the car with a machine to get that really fantastic shine

searchy for silverline on here then go to the silverline website (google it) find the nearest silverline dealer, some motor factors are the best bet if you can find any near you on the silverline site, and take around 45 quid with you, this will get you a silverline rotary polisher, polishing pad (get a compound pad also) and a small tube of g3.
then get onto any detailing site (god i hate that word, whats wrong with polishing!) and view the instructions on how to do it properly.

Are there different pads for different jobs?

I'm gonna need one soon, as i want to polish mine as its never been done since i bought it, and there are some scratches on it

yup basically the harshest is for getting rid of the contaminants bonded to the paint, then they get softer towards polishing and softer again for buffing/finishing.
Ive got 3 different ones and they do the job, i used g3 once with water to get rid of the roughness you can feel with the contaminants, then the likes of autoglym to smoothout and fill the scratches then use the softest one for putting the likes of the final layer of coating on for a good shine.
