I got my black petrol leon fr (with 18" wheels), 12 months old and with 2900 miles on it for 14,495, including bits (road tax, first year's service, full tank of fuel).

I looked at the motorpoint ones but was a bit put off because you only get 2 years manufacturer's warranty (the third year's warranty is from the dealers and doesnt apply to imports). Also, the 2 year's manufacturer's warranty starts when they buy the car- when I rang up the cars were typically a couple of months old, so had about 22 months warranty left.

Road tax, road fund licese etc adds quite a lot on as well to motorpoint cars- factor in a few hundred £s for that too. In the end I obviously opted for the non imported one at the top of this post, though to be fair it has been into the garage 5 times already, so it seems pretty flaky to me!! (see http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=141701)

Very nice Jace. Is that in the dealers garage or you put her to bed already ;)

Its my garage, kitted it out for detailing, plenty of light & white walls for extra brightness.

Gave her a wipe down this morning & she looks very nice [B)] I have a full on detail session planned in a few weeks when the missus is on a week end shift

A few good deals mentioned on this thread. I have an TDI FR at the top of my list at the moment and I'm looking to compare the best deal for each of the cars I'm looking at (others are Civic type S GT and an outside chance is the Renaultsport Megane dCi).

TDI PEP - your deal looked good. Where was that from ?

Cheers

Hi everyone

Looking at buying a pre-reg Candy White FR TDI with full btcc bodykit , dual split exhaust , 18,s , bluetooth , convenience pack , 12 months tax for 17,700

Does that sound about right or is there still room for negotiation in your guys opinion
Also as i am getting this on finance i also seemed to to get them to pay the finance acceptance fee

Thanks in advance

Hi tony, to me that sounds a very very good deal depending on what rate there doing the finance at, but the price for the car with all those extras is brilliant, wheres that from?

Autoworld in Sheffield , got em to paint the wing mirrors white aswell and throw in a tank of fuel . The finance rate is 3.5% flat , i worked it out myself so i knew i wasnt getting fiddled .
As stated , got em to sort it out so i didnt have to pay the finance acceptance fee and final payment fee . Got ALL the above in writing so they cant go back on there word ( hopefully )

They lowered the price f the car to £17550 aswell to meet my monthly payment target . Also tried to squeeze an armrest out of em but they wouldnt budge , even after i said i wouldnt do the deal without it ..... thats when he said i could have a tank of diesel :)

mike - I found they were the best deal at the time too, and alex was great to deal with. As for aftersales he 'phoned yesterday to see how everything was and how it was running, top work fella:)

Hi guys,

Decided to bite the bullett last night and wander into a dealers to look at a FR TDi, found an ex demo with 3000 miles (57 plate). Spec was Luna grey(slver?), 18"s, Bluetooth, Winter pack, Convenience pack and ipod connection. Took her out for a test drive and was impressed, sat down to do the deal and after some negotiation got the price to £16500 (with a great part ex for my battered old focus) from the sticker price of £17250. The problem was I'd convinced myself that I was not going buy that evening as I'd done so before at a dealers and regretted it, so I asked them for a day to think about it and went on my way. The salesman had said that he had got someone interested in the car but I thought this was just salesman tactics to force my hand, some of you have probably guessed where this is going... woke up this morning nice and early to call and pay a small deposit and just as I picked up the phone they called me to tell me that the car had unfortunately sold about an hour after I'd left last night! Gutted, just hoping I can find the same spec elsewhere.
