Getting VAGCOM'd at Audi Garage?

My car is playing up and not running correctly. See thread:

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=91265

Seen as tho no-one has replyed to my thread asking if there is anyone in my area with VAGCOM, I am going to have to get it done at a Seat garage. The nearest one however is like 70'ish miles away. But there is an Audi garage about 20 miles away. If I take it there, will they be able to hook it up to VAGCOM and find out exactly what is wrong with my car?? Will it still be exactly the same thing as the one for Seat's?? Also, does anyone have any idea, roughly how much they'll charge for the service?

I know everyone's going to say ring them, but I have, twice and the silly bi*ch who answers the phone dosent even know what day of the week it is, and won't put someone on the phone who does!!!

Help please, as im supposed to be driving down to Newquay (about 350 miles) on Sunday and need to get my car sorted before then!!!

Cheers

they'll be able to do it sure, as for cost, ring them first and ask how much for a diagnostic check

i reckon it would be cheaper for you to get a cable and the trial software mate, do it yourself, its gonna cost you in excess of 50 quid for a check plus your petrol etc.

Is £50 about the normal price for getting this done?

I got quoted £100 at the local VAG specialist recently.

Well i took my old car to a specialist who did it for free? so i dont think there is such a thing as a standard charge.

I would expect they may charge their rate at an hr?

As said above, if you have a laptop or access to one, get a cable and the trial. cost you £15-20
