Hi all hows things. I have just been out with my mate in his ford cougar which has been lowerd. Anyway he went round a roundabout fairly fast and he could get the back end to step out and it was fairly good as if it was rear wheel drive. Could this be done in the leon. Have people tried this and got the tyres screaching also. I know this wont be to everyones taste...just interested to know.

err thats asking for trouble mate, trying to hang the arse out on a front wheel drive car...........use the handbrake or lift of understeer, either way its harsh unless very wet, and chances are your going to get spat of the raod if your doing more than 30, buy a rear wheel drive car much easier

lol it's lift off 'oversteer'

easy to get, easy to manage (if the cars not a pup)

my funniest was a brand new LCR demo with ESP on

The easiest - my old Ibiza with 13's on the rear only at 44psi. Call me colin mcrae with my 90mph drifts. I did nearly roll it mind.

As Bill said big fat Anti-roll bars 25mm thick + (preferably 28mm rear, 25mm front) Lower and uprate the suspension too and the Leon has bags of predictable lift off over steer which can be caught easily.

However good my old Leon was, it was never as much fun as my T-reg 1.4L Mk2 Escort, RWD + skinny tyres, wet roundabouts were hillarious

My M3 was somewhat entertaining in this department - proper RWD of course, none of this FWD handbrake/lift off rubbish!

Sadly missed

currently hull, then brighton!
I do have something to add to this, i was considering mentioning it when i got back from the ring but couldnt be arsed and thought it would have been of no concequence to anyone,
I had to get some super cheapo tyres fitted to the rear on a business trip to hull and still had them on when i went over to the ring, anyway i noticed that i could slide the rear out when hammering round corners not massively but noticable, also this let me recover when entering the corners on the wrong line i could essentially twaek the steering and put my foot down to pull my way through the slide, very odd sensation in a front wheel drive car and hard to attempt to describe, but i liked it!!

I seem to recall Tiff Needel of Fith Gear getting a LCR sideways on that race curcuit they use.
