tdi don't need cat's to pass mot's (so i was led to belive) but to be honest jabba told me not to get downpipe and de-cat on pd130 turbo as it puts to much presure on the turbo and will shorten the life by alot!!
if your reducing the back pressure, how does this increase pressure on the turbo
this is an ask, not a dig
, as i have just fitted the full turbo back decat non-res-system and i'm not in any hurry to replace the turbo
............although, were is that link to Allards
After reading all this im definately going to order 1 now
I will go for the De Cat route
help the turbo to spin up quicker
and then go Resonated to keep the in car noise levels down
i was wary of getting the non-res because of noise levels and i'm glad i got it now
i think i would have been dissappointed with the resonated system as the non-res isn't loud at all, only when you give it some beans
as said, the burble from the downpipe helps to drown out the diesel tractor noise which you can hardly hear when driving normally, does sound nice when accelerating!
allowing the turbo to spin up quicker makes such a difference and improved drivability loads!
before the engine would labour badly if trying to accelerate from low down, but now the power is now available from 1500 and pulls smoothly really well!
i'd reccommend a decat non-res
