As its been said, no point in changing map at all...

Spend the money on the handling, or drive, or clutch...

I did all three and it made the car feel faster without a remap...

and after 2 days solid chatting to VAG experts JBS....

Custom remap is to go on my car ONLY when i have fitted the following..

New Hybrid Turbo (£650)
Exhaust and cat from Turbo back (£700)
New PD injectors (£1000)
New Clutch and single mass flywheel.. (£1500)

All in all to get a custom re map i have to spend near to £3800 again to get any resonable gain....

So phil stick to the map, upgrade ur suspension or struts, poly mounts and make use of all that torque....

EDIT:

When you go to JBS just ask them about my car after all the work and the cost, that will give you an idea on when a custom remap has to come...lol

Or rather than try and scrape 10bhp out of this 'custom remap' try

- Suspension mod's so you can catch up through the twisties
- Bake mod's so you can out brake them into the corners

or if your 100% sure you want the power get a NOS kit and some 50bhp jets

Perhaps we should do a glossary of frequently used terms and what they mean in crystal clear 'English' ;)
God Rudd stop reading my mind!
