gearbox oil

now this is probably one of the most stupid questions ever asked on here but since the weather has got really cold and snowy im having difficuilty getting the car in to gear, like i really have to ram it pretty hard. i never had this before. could it be something to do with it so cold and the oil starting to freeze or get on its way to freezing? i dont know at what temperature oil freezes so point and laugh if you want but the only difference there is since it was fine is the weather so thought that just maybe it might have something to do with it.

tbh i dont think it will effect it but it is the only change there has been in circumstances. its only really with 1st and 3rd gear too which i find odd.

i'm in new zealand for 3 weeks, so dreading what its like when i get home! but i will be getting an engine oil change, so may aswell do the gearbox at the same time
i'll let you know how it goes anyway

mines abit stiff as well first thing in a morning but after been run for abit it then fine, iv always put it down to the gearbox oil

well it could be due to it being old oil, or just low.. mines probably been in the car for the full 128k!! lol, so i reckon its best to change it

i dont fancy doing it myself, so gonna leave it to the local garage, i reckon it'll be cheaper all round

Anyone got some pics / explanations of how to change the oil. I looked around my selector and couldnt find where the fill entry is (nut / bolt?)
