Hi all,

I know there are a few threads on here regarding fault code 01435, the dreaded G201 pressure sensor fault.

I got one on my FR before Christmas. I emailed Seat UK, told them my car had a mix of dealer and service history and asked them if they would fix it - as it was Christmas! 12 hours later I had a call back saying to take it in to my local dealer and if it was the G201 fault they would fix it, if it wasn't I'd have to pay the cost of the diagnosis. Fair enough.

It was a painless experience and I didn't pay a penny, Seat were chasing me to know had I booked the car in, instead of letting the issue slide; they settled up with the dealer straight away so the car was in and out in a day. It's nice to know that Seat UK are supportive about this. I hope this might help others if they run into the same problem.

:D

I didn't realise it had been logged. I had suggested that it was and that's why they should pay!

It affects your ABS, it is inactive if the pressure sensor is faulty. I may be wrong but I believe the transducer on the sensor overheats and fails. There's a fair amount of info on here about it and people having varying degrees of success with getting it paid for by dealers/SEAT. If it is logged with VOSA now then they presumably they can't argue!

Also apologies if this is in the wrong area!
