g12 or g13 coolant?

My 2.0 TDI Exeo recently went in for its 5th year cambelt and water pump change. Reading the invoice, the dealer has replaced the coolant with g13 coolant, however the coolant reservoir under the bonnet has g12 written on it. Which coolant should it be - g12 or g13? Or does it actually make no difference?

the G12++ coolant in the Exeo from factory makes no difference using G13 it is compatible to mix and will work just as well as G12++

Thanks, I'm I correct in assuming also that as part of the water pump replacement, the old coolant (which in this case was g12++) would have been drained and completely replaced with new g13?

It will have been drained but most likely the system wasn't flushed how much coolant was booked out on the job?

It was a fixed price but they put two lots of EG013A8JM1 coolant (which apparently is a 1.5l bottle of g13 coolant) on the invoice, so assuming a 50/50 mix that could be anywhere between 3 and 6 litres depending on how much of the second bottle they used.

ah the fixed price service tend to use about a bottle and half typically.
