I can guarantee that a wrap will not hide stone chips, if anything it will make them worse. It seems to emphasise every imperfection in the paintwork. I did matt white on my bike, and while it looks good from a couple of feet away, if you look close you can see tiny lumps where I hadn't cleaned the panel enough, and slight indents where the original paintwork isn't intact.

At the very least you will need to fill the chips so they feel smooth.

I've had a full pro wrap done and wouldn't ever do it again recommend to anyone. It looks the business but marks show up quickly and don't get me started on trying to sell it/taking it off.
