Hi,
I brought the injectors and seals (1.4 correct model) and gave them to my garage. He’s took the old ones out and these don’t fit...
Even though my car is a 1.4 it takes 2.0 litre injectors???
He’s saying it’s possibly a remap but i’m not sure.

Hello there,
right ok I've been doing a bit of digging around online, yes it is a possibility various parts/items on your CAVE engine have been upgraded, some owners fit upgraded fuel injectors to match the raised fuel pressure from a remap, including high power fuel pump and even high lift cam shafts ?
I think your 1.4
Ibiza has two fuel pumps,
first one is a low-pressure pump inside the fuel tank, and the second is a camshaft-driven high-pressure injection fuel pump.
Looks like the standard 1.4 CAVE engine fuel injectors have 6 spray nozzle holes in their stem tips.
If your mechanic is adamant that they are upgraded 2.0 injectors, then they should have a part number or serial number on them, this way you'll be able to trace/pin point the one's that were in there already, it might even have a different upgraded injector rail to match injector fitment ??
There's a 2.0 TSI/TFSI but it's fitted in the Leon and Golf with eng code CCZB
From late 2006 to 2012/13
Injector part number 06H 906 036G
These have the longer injector stem nozzle with the same 6 spray hole stem tip arrangement, and connection plug/socket is set at an angle of 45°, but the 1.4 CAVE engine has the connection plug/socket set parallel 90° to injector body.
From 2012/13 onwards (eng codes CJXA / CJXE)
Part numbers below are fitted to MK3 2.0 Leon (Bosch part number 0261500076)
06K 906 036
06L 906 036J
06L 906 036L
You'll need to get your mechanic to check the part number/serial number if any, from your old injectors that he's just removed, and see if they match any of the above numbers I've listed, also I think you possibly can get injector nozzle adaptors for these direct injectors. Your mechanic may need to check measure the so called 2.0 injectors he's removed against the standard 1.4 CAVE injectors you purchased.
Other then that it's to look through your service history and see who did the remap,
or contact the previous owner if you bought the car from a private seller ??
Also I've found this thread from a few years ago that has great information, on the known faults/problems with the 1.4 twin chargers engine, plus info on the updated replacement part/s
