My fuel gauge went really dodgy at one point, had a mind of its own, would only move when it felt like it. It turned out that the connectors on the sensor weren't connecting properly, re-soldered them and there still holding out fine
cheers mate is it the connectors on the tank side? its strange cos my gauge is working fine (going up when i fill it, and drops as im using it) however, runs out before the beep will the gauge still showing 1/4 tank. cheers mate
Yeh my gauge didn't have a problem, the sensor on the tank side of things wasn't reading right so it was telling my gauge the wrong thing. My gauge took ages to move when i put petrol in as the sensor wasn't registering it right away, it usually registered going down right as by this point it knew how much petrol it had, although it was gradually getting worse, anyways i sold the car and the guy i sold it to fixed the problem by re soldering the connectors, last time i spoke to him it was still holding out fine. It may need a new sensor at some point but its working fine at the min
Not pinching your thread Chris, but my fuel gauge seems to drop a little when idling, then when i pull off it goes back up. Just wondered if its normal..
