mmm never heard of this
1st idea would be to check fuses , manual says fuse 18 instrument panel , 10A

or fuse 27 5A instruments again
or indeed 41 for the actual fuel sensor , 15A

theyd be my first port of call

well it seems to of sorted itself out was on my way to the dealer (to get the rear washer fixed) and driving down the m18/m180 i was watcing the range increase from 0 to 370 now if only it did that normallyy id save £££ on fuel.

i can only assume it was something daft like a blocked/dirty sensor so all i can do is keep an eye out for it.

damn seat youd think being vag they would be built well ive had more daft little things with this than most of my fords

I've had this happen as well this week. After about 20 minutes the fuel gauge drops to empty (no orange light or warning beep) and at the same time the outside air temperature reading fails. A couple of minutes later the temperature comes back but the fuel gauge stays on empty until I turn the engine off and back on. Any ideas anyone?
