There's too many variables to judge the difference in one journey.
Temperature, wind, traffic conditions to name but a few.

For a real indication you need a long term test.

Hi

Ive used v-power before and does seem to make a difference, however not enough of a difference around town to compensate for the extra cost!

Interestingly, Noone seems to have used BP ultimate for a long period yet, people seem to have used V power or Shell Deisel extra more.

I've never used anything but BP Ultimate in my PD160 .. but that isn't going to help you as I've never used anything else so I can't offer a comparison. I'm hoping the V-power will move to Northampton soon so I'll grab a couple of tanks and let you know.

Ok, well now we have 2 cars running on same kind of fuels but different brands!

I beleive the Shell garage along the A45 coming off the M1, towards Hardingstone should get V power deisel soon, as they told me on an e-mail they stick it where they get alot of trade. So the main route into Northampton from the M1 should be pretty tempting for them!

Excellent, just up the road from where I work that'd be quite handy! I'll try to remember to go and check in a few weeks

Awesome, after a few tanks (if youve been using supermarket fuel) you should notice a difference, if not before then.... All depends on how cruddy the fuel is that has been used, and how long it takes to clear that

I have used BP Ultimate for over a year and I really like it.

I do about 70:30 town driving and get about 47-50 mpg (usually averaging around 23mph per tank). 99% of the time I fill up at the same petrol station. A few times I have had to fill up with regular diesel and found that every time I do it my mpg drops to around 43-46. I also feel that if you use ultimate regularly you get a much smoother drive.
