Front Discs life expectancy

Hey all,

My birthday has just gone so i have a little spare cash, needed an excuse to change to 312mm setup. how long do the brakes normally last?! im on 21k from new so surely they should be on thier way out soon!?

Maybe a mufflerectomy if i have any left over

normall use pads about 30k i think... but then thats about £40 to change

i used all my pads just before 30k on my 1.4 was dangerously bad apparently!! just shows how i drove it! lol

I bet I beat that. Mine are nearly gone after 10,000miles.

i got mine when it had about 7k on it before.. it looked brand new when i got it inc tyres lol

My Dec 2004 Ibiza 1.4 has 25k on it and when I had it serviced at 20k they said it would need new discs soon. Seems a bit soon for new discs... is this normal????

its normall for 2 sets of pads for each set of disks unless u wear down your pads so much they eat into your disks like i did.... oh well TT breaks soon on my new Fr!
