right, just been reading posts with values from logs to suggest that the CAI kit I am running isn't the best for flowing.

I don't really want to go back down the OEM air box route as I'm looking for more space in my engine bay not less.
So is a big asses cone the best flowing induction you can get?
I know that this is going to be sucking in warm engine bay air on tick over but have space for ducting so will get a good air supply ducted to it if its deemed to be the most free flowing.

Does anyone have logs to suggest they are running a very free flowing system?

again no logs but running the panel worked well but i think it blocked relatively quickly... after a few months. i say blocked.. i mean less urgent.

swopped over to open cone and there was a big difference, car felt urgent and freer if that makes sense.

i've done the same as b3lsy, universal mushroom filter (like HKS), just need to cut the lid of OEM box to force the air towards it, also upgrade the OEM air ducting to 3 or 4 inch jobbie. Sounds great and the car feels more willing across the rev range.

i spoke with John (cupra mvr) about the P-Flo as I wanted his thoughts as an existing user of it before i ordered mine, before buying it he did a lot of searching around forums and came across a thread on a TT forum i believe where a guy had logged a number of inductions kits etc an the P-Flo came out on top, as you will know you have got a degree of heatsoak protection with this kit and as you rightly say, a decent 80mm silicone based feed would help as well. Plus as far as i'm aware it's the cheapest version of this type of kit too

I do really want to fit and open cone as they sound great aswell.

When changing induction I will also be relocating battery to the boot so will have loads of space to play with.
I'll PM john to see if he still has a link to the TT forum to see what they have come up with.
I plan to do some logs on mine before removing to see how its getting on after 3 years and 2 cleans and re-oils

Anyone got logs to show us on this?

<get K&N filter and a heat shield. With the 57i from K&N there is a cai flex hose you can lead around the battery. Every time I've checked the filter after a drive it's cold. No radiated heat from engine bay. I also got some rubber list from an old Ford to make a better seal against the hood.

It's a green open cone, don't have a part number I'm afraid, I got it off Bill when I went up for my remap.

Don't seem to have a receipt either  so I'm not sure on the price, off the top of my head I'm sure it was less than 100 quid.
