FR 150 TDI Remap Advice

Hi All,

I was thinking of changing my car, but as the TDI FR only has 13k miles on I am thinking I should just remap it.

I was looking a the Superchips bluefin which gives 179hp, but noticed Celtic tuning remap can give 199hp.

But the bluefin map seems to give more torque than the Celtic map.

Anyone have any advice on tuning a 150 TDI

Cheers
JJ

Bluefin looks very easy to use, and to change back to standard.

I'm guessing you are wanting more power & Economy from the 2.0TDI 150 (manual?).

There was another member on the forum who 'used' Celtic tuning for his 1.6TDI and all sorts of problems ensued. Could be a 1 off, but that was that person's experience.

I guess you are using proper diesel (eg..BP/Shell/Esso) and not supermarket ones.

If the latter, try a tank of two of Shell Vpower Nitro Plus Diesel. If still not happy with engine after that, then by all means remap! Most manuals should be able to handle the extra torque post-remap. DSGs, I'm not sure what their limits are tbh.

I had my 150 TDI FR remapped by REVO at Shark Performance in Mansfield and it was brilliant. I would recommend you look at their mapping systems and dealers. It costs about £450 with f/f discount but just looked and its £500 at the moment.
