THS one is cheaper and fits perfectly and went in no trouble. Sorry, not being smug. Maybe you could send it back and get in touch with THS for a replacement. The guy I speak to is Ollie:

all the tips will have trouble getting past the water pipe as they are bigger.

Read any thread about fitting one and you'll see we all had the same trouble :)

Yeah but do the ports on yours line up with the components that need to fit into them? cause ours don't line up very well :(

Yeah....on mine it would be impossible to mount the DV the correct way as it would not fit, doesn't bother me that much as it sounds better in reverse :)

Its the actual ports on mine that are in wrong place, from memory I think they are far to close together.

I spoke to ollie at THS and he can't get them to fit the AUQ so that ruled that out. My dv is in reverse at the min til I can extend the vacuum hose, hate the noise mine makes on it's side so it's got to go back the other way.

Will it actually fit the other way tho? mine 100% wont fit as standard.

The silicone takes a while to get into its proper shape once fitted as well. I had to remove the airbox mounting bolts to gain a bit more space when fitting my THS, once assemble it was re-secured

I take it your edit means you've read the thread now.

The components are all fitted they're just positioned wrong causing stuff to get squashed and the dv to sit on the vac reservoir.

Mine sounds nothing likt that at all....mines like a normal piston atmospheric dump valve just not as loud :confused:

You see why I have to change it though lol, mabe it would be worth me taking it apart and lightly greasing the seal on the piston, am sure it has to be some special grease though so maybe not. I have a vac hose joiner on the way somewhere so should be here next day or so, i'll get it back round the other way for now.

Yeah sounds like a pin dropping into a metal bucket? lol

I would do a sound clip on mine but I not sure I've got anything to record it.....will see if my phone will do it when I get a chance.

Forge TIP on an AUQ here too. The only problem I had with the fitting is that the 007P can only be fitted backwards if I want to retain the engine cover, which I do. The reversed noise doesn't bother me. In fact, I think the sound from the 007P compliments the aggressive Piper exhaust note. The car sounds purposeful now, at the risk of being maybe just displaying a hint of 'chav'! :)

Oh right, well mine cant be retained with the DV in either position although I do want to retain it as it looks a mess without it. Did you listen to the noise mine makes in reverse?
I have switched it back to upright tonight and the noise is back to normal, its only really a temp quick fix as it looks a mess but it stops the terrible sound.

Mine will only actually fit in reverse due to the fact the outlets are so close together.....I couldn't fit the cover without taking a chunk out of it like in my picture on page 1

Seems there all different!
