HELP HELP HELP.....

I parked up, folded the wing mirrors in and went about my business... came back to the car and the wing mirrors won't fold out..

I've checked the obvious:

fuses all fine
had the multimeter on the switch : that looks ok (was only replaced in sept)

Any ideas??

My car did this, i forced them out and fiddled with them, eventualy they both went floppy (ie no resistance to pushing) they wouldn't fold in or out.

i left it over night and in the morning they worked fine again!?! i wouldn't advise this but it worked for me

Happened to me once. I gave them a firm nudge and they corrected themselves after a bit of whirring. Had to give more of a push than you might imagine.

Just to let you know

Forced them out and yup went floppy too.

So decided to take them to the local SEAT dealer LC Charles in Crewe; they said that it was the control module and would cost £300 to fix. At which I ask them if they were having a joke on me..

Turning them down I went to Lookers SEAT in Stockport and they reset the wing Mirrors via the ECU... works perfectly and didn't cost me anywhere near £300.

So to any SEAT owner out there AVOID

Whilst I was there they also told a lady owner that it would take them 2 days to fit a tyre and change the brakes!!!!!!!!!!!

Based near Crewe around Northwich.

Lookers is worth a visit if you've got any problems. They even fitted me in without an appointment too.

Both mine are completely FUBARed, might have a play with them. When I put them to park, they do fold away but the motor just keeps whirring away, so I don't bother with stowing them.

Sometimes when I adjust on ethe other goes in sympathy, weird stuff. I guess the switch is knacked.

They're s'posed to :D

Moving the driver's mirror adjusts the passenger mirror accordingly - it's a convenience thing apparently

i. adjust driver's mirror first
ii. adjust passenger mirror if req.d
