Right wing mirror - electric mirror adjustment not working

Hi all, since I bought my 2015 Leon FR Technology in December 2023, the electric adjustment for the right wing mirror does not work. We realised this after I had paid for the car (private sale, not a dealer) and about to drive off. I can live with this as it's something can be set once by hand and left as-is, but it would be nice to get this working. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

- Both wing mirrors can fold and unfold electrically
- The mirror adjustment for the left wing mirror works

Yes, I set the switch to R before trying the adjust the right mirror but nothing happens. I haven't tried adjusting the right mirror while in reverse gear, all I know regarding the behaviour in reverse gear is that the left mirror automatically tilts downwards, which is a feature as you probably know so that you can see the curb more easily when reverse parallel parking.
