Folding mirrors not folding

So my car has been sat over the Christmas break not being used. Only a week or 10 days.

I used to be able to long press my lock button on key fob and the mirrors would fold themselves inwards.

That auto folding seems to have stopped.

I've had a look through the menus on the dash, the only option I can see that might refer to this functionality is ticked.

Any suggestions on potential causes/fixes before I call the SEAT garage?

What do these shiny wing mirrors cost if it means a replacement (they are the grey ones that come with the fancy alloy wheels as part of Titanium pack).

To rule out an issue with the wing mirrors themselves have you tried folding them using the driver door arm rest wing mirror adjuster stick?

Just do the window reset trick and they'll be fine. Search the forum, it's covered once per month.

I wasn't aware it is possible to fold from that control, adjust the position of the glass, yes but not fold the whole unit into car from there. I'll have a fiddle.

The switch has a position for folding the mirrors and for the heating them, I think 5 positions in total.

Found the switch position to fold the mirrors, that worked.
So I now know the motors etc are ok.

Looks at the window reset thing someone mentioned, tried a couple of times to do the down and hold then up and hold thing, not yet sorted it. I'll keep trying.

Found a solution that worked for me. I only did this to the front windows, it may be only the drivers taht I needed to do I don't know.

- Press window button so window goes down (doesn't have to be all the way).
- hold up for a second or two after window closes
- release button
- hold up again for a couple of seconds

This was a procedure I found in the manual after reading the section about windows.
Why resetting window position should change behaviour of the wing mirrors is beyond me, but it worked!

Hi, had same problem Saturday (Leon fr 2015) mirrors worked fine from switch but not from key, noticed could not long press open all windows either today, various solutions offered on net, I tried

Opened all windows and roof fully
Closed roof
Closed each window individually, pressed up button, once up, released button for a second and then pressed up again for further 10 seconds, then moved on to next window doing same
Tried long press lock on key, car locked, mirrors closed

Thankyou everyone
