Fog light/Reverse light mix up

A friend of mine who is a mechanic was doing a service on my 06 (RHD) Toledo and he noticed a problem with the rear fog light and reverse light. The fog light comes on when you engage the reverse gear. The reverse light comes on when you switch on the fog light. Now we are trying to figure out if the wiring is mixed up or if some dope in the Seat factory put left hand drive lights on a RHD car. The reverse light is on the driver (RH) side of my car and the fog light is on the passenger side.

Could a few RHD Toledo drivers do me a favour and tell what side their fog and reverse lights are on. Please use "passenger side" or "driver side" to indicate so that it is clear what you mean. I live in Ireland and Toledos are like hens teeth here so I have not managed to find any to have a look myself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

My55 Toledo has the reverse light on the passenger side.

Though looking at the back it is difficult to tell them apart, just when you engage reverse, the light is white(ish).

sides are taken as sat in passenger seat driving facing the screen front

foglight on UK model Toledo should be RH or Offside as it's meant to display the outer edge of the car if it was driving slowly or parked/broke down etc

some other marques use a central mounted one or both but in your case it's back to front and i would check /compare your headlamp beams as well if i was you :)
