I did it to my headlights which looked different but I got stopped by the police twice (at least over here it's far from legal). There is one downside to it: with some brands (especially jap cars) the lamps tend to get warmer which causes cracks in de lenses which ofcourse can get expensive (would be more of a risk with halogen as Xenon because of the different heath...)

I got the bigger kit 45cmx150cm for £16.50 posted and done headlights and foglights on 2 MK1 Leons and still have some left.

I did my rears with the black 2 flyeye kit on Tuesday, Really easy to do and looks great..

Just one thing I did notice the actual base colour of the mesh is white and the colour is printed on, just like you woud get on a custom sign written van wrap I guess.. Anyway I managed to "scratch" a small line of the black off with the supplied squeegy.. Only the smallest of scratches and no one but me would probably notice! but do be a little careful when smoothing the mesh out around the edge of your lights..

Looks good IMO. It is pretty cheap so definitely worth a try to see if you like it. Plus it is a doddle to fit :).

for those of you with the fly eye kits fitted. Does it reduce the light output at all?
Or any noticable difference?

The effect on light output is minimal. Also, if you look at the ground right infrint of you (at night with lights on) you can slightly see where the holes are letting the light through, if you know what I mean. So the fly eye effect is on the ground a little bit. I think it looks quite cool
