Fluid leaking from the driver side

Hello everyone!

Today after a 20 minute motorway drive, right after coming off from the motorway, I had to do an emergency brake, because some dog ran across the road rather close. I was doing about 75-85 km/h, (non-residental area, but near to houses)I got out of the car to see if the dog’s owner was nearby, and noticed that I left a trail of fluid on the road. It is rather dark, but I cannot tell what it is, and its on my driver’s side.

Engine is a 2.0 TDI (150hp version)

A/C was off, heating was ON.

Oil change was done 2500km (2 months) prior, it was a complete regular service. The guys said that my engine bay and gearbox is completely dry, they didn’t find any leaks.

On the motorway I was doing some rapid accelerations because it was completely empty and I just enjoyed the drive home until this :(((

Thank you in advance.

Did you touch it? Was it clear or coloured? Maybe condensation from A/C? Did you have the heating on?

It dried pretty quickly, so I couldn’t really touch it, but it was clearly visible on the asphalt, so I can’t tell if it was clear or coloured. The heating was on for a long time, and also it was on when I stopped, but isn’t that supposed to drip from the exhaust?
