be warned bud

i looked into this but it seemed as if there'd be space problems while the key is in the ignition because the blade is on a spring

so it will foul the steering wheel

i never actually tested this but comparing my key with my friends blade flip key for his Golf and it just looked obvious

well no cos it wouldnt fit lol

but in his golf u see, the ignition barrel points in a lower direction than the ibizas
so the cover part of the key points downwards

but in the ibiza the barrel is right behind the steering wheel

if u wanna try and see then let me know cos id love one myself as they do look mint compared to our keys lol

its just after the cover, a new blade, cutting the blade and coding it if it doesnt work the way in the car manual...its not so cheap so i left it

hmmm so it does fit, can plainly see why i was concerned though...must be 10mm clearance max!

think i might have to get one myself tho, they are cool
especially as i only have one key

theyre always on ebay and so are replacement blades, just concerned about recoding a coded transmiter chip

do the buttons work aswell or just the key?

yes the buttons do work.... not sure how much it cost etc as it came with the car when I bought it. I'm sure the guy from Seat told me it cost around £80 to have the key cut and the transmitter coded, for that price I wouldn't bother its smart but not that smart !

I also have an flipkey for my Ibiza. You have to use the transponder of an Alhambra. The Leon one uses an different frequency

All remotes use 433Mhz in the UK, in fact over most of the world.

sounds like it, 434 is a bit too close to 433 for radio waves!
