Im looking to do this conversion, Fit the Vauxhall Fronters intercooler to my mk3 cupra 1.8t.

Only thing slowing the process is i can't find 53mm pipe work.

Should i go 51mm and stretch  or 54mm??

Any advice is welcome
cheers

54 will probably be ok and with good hose clips seal very well i know all my forge pipes are 54mm and they sell all different shapes and bends so you will be able to get all the hoses you need in 54mm

Yea, as its only 1mm over probably be the best choice. If anything i'll try using 2 clamps on it. Just dont want air leaks.

it will only be on the inlet and outlet not as if the whole system is going to be 1mm to big or you could get some rubber 1mm think and wrap the inelt and outlet in that so hose seals better!

Na not yet!
Looking to get the silicon hoses, can only get 54mm 90 Degree bends but need advise on hose joiners!

Will 51mm Hose joiners?, as they seem the only ones close to the size i need.

Also i take it the smic on the cupra is around 53mm piping?
