I'm going to attempt to put the TIP I bought at inters on at the weekend along with the Forge DV and charge pipe.

Is there anything specific I should look out for while doing it? Any tips? Things I can also remove to make things easier for myself? Any specific tools I'll need?

Also as most of the vacuum hoses (not directly attached to the TIP) that will need to be removed in the process are attached with clips that'll have to be broken off what size jubilees should I go for to replace them?

Any advice / instruction would be great!

When i did mine i took the airbox out completely and the engine cover and this gave enough room to gain access to everything, mind you it was still tight!

Best thing to do with the jubilees is to buy a big multi bag as they always come in handy

Good luck with it all and don’t forget to re check all the clips after you have gone for a drive around

Sorry I cant be any more help but maybe you could do a fitting guide for the main site?

Hope the pics help

Cheers.

I will take some photos as I go and see what I can do guide wise.

Where would you recommend getting a nice big bag of jubilees from? Everywhere online just does bags of 10 of the same size.

Yeah agree with scotty....take the airbox off gives you so much more room.

Only other tips ive got are, i took my TIP into halfrauds and tried all the clips to make sure i got the right ones.

Also use a small socket set rather than trying to do it with a screwdriver, getting to the one at the bottom is a real pig...

I have a flexible driver which has a 7mm socket (perfect for jubilee clips) as recommended by Feel - £4.99 from Halfords.

With the Jubilees did you replace all the ones on the vac hoses around the DV / hoses above the rocker cover?

Let me know how you get on mate, and if you can do a step by step it'll be great.

Iv tried to do it for custom FMIC.

Fingers crossed for the pics

I got a big bag from my local motorsports shop (actual racing store as in parts etc not bling bling bits) But a local plumbing shop or similar should have them

I would avoid the cheaper versions that have holes cut in them as when you do them up they tend to cut into the silicone like playdoh (sp?)

Taking the TIP into the shop is a great idea as you know what sizes you need, just make sure its not on the limits as the silicone will expand as you push the pipes back in

Yeah i replaced the lot, the standard clips are a real pain to get off and not really re-useable...

How did you get them off? Pliers?

Are the clip sizes measured with diameters?

Can you remeber what size the small ones you used for the vacuum hoses were?

I don't know whether to get 9.5-12mm ones ( a smaller size than the smallest on Forges site) or 11-16mm.

Yeah there ickel baby ones used on go karts.
Got them from RPM motorsports in ware. If i had known you needed some i have a couple spare in my car you could have had.

Saying that ive got a few which were done with zip ties and they have held jst as well, if not better as they dont cut into the softer vacume hose

Cool - I'll see what I can do.

Tried to do the DV for starters tonight and am really struggling to get the stupid clip of the side hose on it!

Any pointers?
