Fitting Alloy Wheels-questions.

I have purchased a set of Ronal R7s for my Cordoba, second hand but couldn't resist the price, worth it for the tyres alone. I haven't put them on the car yet ( stillcleaning them)other than to try them, they seem to fit Ok ie no rubbing anywhere (pretty godd as they are 7x15s with 195 tyres) but i noticed on the back the wheel doesn't sit on the centre properly ie the centre of the wheel seems a bigger diametre than the part of the hub it sits on. I can lift them up to allign the studs and then they blot up Ok but is this safe to do in the longer term? If not what do I need ( may want to consider spacers on the back, as they don't fill the arches as wel as I had hoped there, anyway would this help?) and also should I be considering longer wheel bolts than the originals , supplied for the steels, they seem Ok but I jst want to get it right before I fianally go ahead. Thanks in advance for any advice.:)

If the wheels dont sit on the spiggots then it sounds like you're missing the rings that sit inside the wheel to locate them on the hubs properly. If so I'd try to find a Ronal stockist and buy some, the wheels wont sit on the hubs properly without them.

The fronts seem fine but the rears are a problem. I know who the stockist is because i was looking for centre caps so I will give them a shout.
Thanks.

They should only cost a couple of quid, it's just a plastic ring that snaps in the wheels to help them locate. They're called spigot rings. If I remember right the ones you want are 57.1mm But they'll know as it's the same size for all VW/seats etc.

Enquiries out there just waiting for a response. The company i thought was a Ronal dealer turned out not to be however so i am not sure what to do there. I had a look on the net and no-one seems to stock R7s now in this country although they seem to be listed in the states called "R7 Bulldogs". I was in the market for some centre caps but may just use VW ones I have from a Passat as they fit but i would have preferred the originals or somthing Seat if anyone has any ideas?
Thanks.

Final outcome of this was i only needed one as the other three were in place on the wheels, one must have got lost, last owner couldn't find it. i tracked one down at Autoimage in Edinburgh, woman on the phone said it was 'used' so maybe they would take £1.50 so i went through, spoke to the guy in chage and he gave me it free of charge. Can't beat that!
Cheers for all the advice.
