Well I thought the same as you :|

But when it cuts out, the battery light shows on the dash.

I have just checked this by holding the bolt onto the cars body and got my sister to start the engine. It started fine and ran fine.

So it must be that bolt.

I'll add pictures... give me a second.

when u cum 2 re conect the earth cable, connect it where i did, in the spare wheel well on the drivers side u should see a little bracket welded on, with a coupla holes in, if u have a drill and tap u can bolt it to this point, remember to always have metal on metal, sand the area to get a proper connection, iv had no problems so far with mine so far m8

It went fine. The cars working again now and the rear lights are earthed once again.

But the subwoofer still isn't working. It blew it's fuse when I tried to connect it to the battery (lots of sparks).

Then everytime I replace the fuse it sparks and blows it.

I've checked the wiring and it seems fine

Ive checked the remote wire (works when cars ignition is on and stops when its off) can't check the power cable, but it blew the fuse in the amp at one point, so that must be working.

I was earth'ing the voltmeter with the amps earth cable and it was working fine so I am clueless :S

The wiring to the subwoofer seems all connected but I don't think that should matter. The amp should still work.

So what do you think? broken amp?

All is fixed now and omg its LOUD! :D

I feel so stupid
Well you know how the power cables have lots of small wire fibres? Well a few had snapped off the cable and landed on the terminals. Well I hadn't noticed this when screwing on the cables, and it just so happens a few were joining the terminals together causing a short

Im such a tool :)

Sorry to bring this thread up again but...

How have you's gotten the RCA wires round the drivers side footwell?

It's just mine atm aren't behind any panels they are just tooked up and pulled tight but im affraid if they drop down and get hooked around a vital pedal such as the brake?

I couldn't see how you removed the panel due to the fact I removed 2 screws from the front and it still wouldn't come off, yet I couldn't see any other screws to remove. Is it wise to put the wire under that panel anyway? There seems to be a lot of electrics already behind it.

Oh and how do I remove the door still trim? I tried pulling and it just wouldn't budge.

Many thanks in advance.
