Fitting a new Gear Knob

Hi all, new member here.

Firstly, loving what everyone's done with their Leon's. My girlfriend bought me a new gear knob for Christmas. I concerned that it won't fit on my cupra and don't want to go pulling the gaitor off only to find out the new one won't fit.

Any Ideas?
