Fitted My Defi Gauges

Got my Boost pressure and oil pressure Defi BF gauges from awesomegti.com (thanks Andy). Also they managed to gey a Nomad Racing A piller in black with 2 pods.

Will update the pictures when it gets dark.

Where Controller Box is Housed.

Got some reading last night:

The first thing I notice is that the gauge gives a negative boost on tick over.

Peak of 0.9bar approx 13psi

Holds at 0.6bar approx 8psi

Yeah, it can give you the peak of each meter, and a last 3 minute play back. You can set different warning points on each meter as well. The opening and ending ceremony is cool too.

That picture is not the driving view, and the pillar pod doesn't impair your view of the road.

Yeah thought it would be difficult, but after some thought, just getting to the oil pressure sensor was a pain in the #@*.

No tubing of any sort goes anywhere near the cabin. It all within the engine bay, the only things to pop through to the cabin side is 2 electrical wires which connect to the controller unit.

The controller unit is the brain with just one wire going to on of the gauges and then its daisy chained up from there.

Within the gauges there are chips, which decode the information from the controller unit and know which information to use for each gauge.

To get power I end up piggy backing off the ISO loom of the head unit, because the wiring supplied was a little to short to get to the headlight switch.

Wiil take some photo of the installation if you want (I'll resize them too.)

You really wanna know, not much change out of £500.

Writing up a guide at the moment, for both Defi and normal gauges, hopefully it'll be done for the weekend.
